Buffalo Bicycling Club, Inc.
Greetings my fellow cyclists,
As I’m sure you’re aware, COVID-19 has drastically impacted almost every aspect of our daily lives. On a less serious scale, even our favorite recreational hobby of cycling will suffer setbacks this year. As the weather continues to improve, the impact of the pandemic will become more apparent in the cycling community. We will all be missing the camaraderie of group rides, the personal achievement of a fondo, and the competition of racing.
The Buffalo Bicycling Club (BBC) is continuing to follow USA Cycling’s current recommendations to suspend all events through May 31, 2020. While the crisis is continuing to evolve, we must be patient while experts develop the best strategies and guidelines to safely resume group activities.
In the meantime, I’d like to share two free cycling events the BBC is supporting this spring that you’re able to participate in.
Lastly, if you’ve already purchased a BBC membership, thank you for your support. We recognize that due to the unpredictable nature of this season, a BBC membership may not have the same value as it has in years’ past. We’re currently exploring fair alternative member options, such as a 2020-2021 rollover, a discount or refund. However, if you’re currently experiencing financial hardship and need a more immediate solution, please contact me directly for a full refund ([email protected]).
On behalf of all the BBC officers and directors, we miss you, stay safe, better days are coming.
Long live the BBC!
Steven Mongielo
